The Internationaler Bund (IB) is sending a signal in April with several actions for more investment in education. Under the motto “An Bildung sparen kostet Zukunft” the non-profit organization is drawing attention to this topic.

At the Future Day of the Federal Association of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (BVMW) on 15 April in Berlin, the IB presents its further education offerings for employees and companies.

The IB shows there examples of vocational education, language training, as well as partial qualifications, from which participants and companies benefit. They are key elements for integration, securing skilled labor, and economic growth. Thiemo Fojkar, CEO of the IB, takes part in the event together with Verdi chairman Frank Werneke in a panel discussion on the topic.

Rewe Group & IB: How educational cooperation strengthens the labor market
In addition, the IB presents there its successful cooperation with the REWE Group. In the project, skilled labor recruitment in retail was supported through partial qualifications. Employees were able to learn individual areas of the retail profession in time- and content-separated modules.

“Education is the most sustainable growth strategy. It cannot and must not be that Germany invests too little here. This endangers our future. This is also the core message of our action.” Thiemo Fojkar, CEO of the IB

More insights, statements, and background on the actions can be found on the social media channels of the Internationaler Bund.

There, the IB shows why it applies: An Bildung sparen kostet Zukunft.
