The Internationaler Bund (IB) is pleased to present an exciting documentary about the impressive journey towards crafts excellence of carpenters in Rwanda's western province.
The documentary was financed with funds from the BMZ special initiative “Decent Work for a Just Transition”” via the sequa PartnerAfrica program. In twelve days of production time, it summarizes the twelve years of educational cooperation between the IB and other partners and actors in Rwanda.
Using the example of the Umubaji Days (carpentry days), the protagonists of the film - former trainees, woodworkers and entrepreneurs - are portrayed from different perspectives. Get to know their personal stories and experience this special event for yourself!
The German ambassador Heike Uta Dettmann is also interviewed in the film and talks about the cooperation from her perspective. Unfortunately, she was unable to attend the Umubaji Days but made up for her visit to the vocational school (Rubengera Technical Campus) last week. Many thanks, Ms. Dettmann!
