Strengthening TVET through International Cooperation: A Mission to Egypt under the “Skills4Trends” Project

In June 2025, within the framework of the “Skills for Trends” project, an expert engaged in the project carried out an official short-term mission to Egypt, where they met with cooperation partners involved in its implementation.

The primary objective of the mission included the review and quality assessment of training materials for a short course in photovoltaics, the inspection of PV training sites at SCIA and ABA/VTEC, as well as the issuance of an HLfT certificate to ensure the quality standards of both the training materials and the facilities.

Beyond these technical goals, the visit also aimed to enhance the overall pedagogical quality of educational content, improve working conditions, increase the efficiency of existing training tools, and identify the needs of trainers, including the gaps in available working resources.

Such international professional exchanges play a key role in strengthening cross-country collaboration and in raising the quality of services and professional practices. Exposure to different professional perspectives fosters mutual learning and contributes positively to both the quality of education and the delivery of vocational services.

Furthermore, this visit underscores the value of international development projects as impactful platforms that empower professionals to elevate their expertise, while simultaneously helping countries in need of opportunities for emerging talent and invest in sustainable capacity building.
