"We are pleased to announce a project in Albania on social inclusion and to continue our long-standing partnership with countries in South Eastern Europe," says Karola Becker, Member of the Board of the Internationaler Bund (IB). The project "Supporting the Implementation of Social Inclusion Reforms" with a total volume of EUR 5.1 million and an implementation period of 4 years will be implemented in a consortium with the Gesellschaft für Organisation, Planung und Ausbildung (GOPA).
The project is an integral part of the European Commission actions to implement the Social Inclusion Agenda (2020-2024) in Albania, which focuses on increasing the coverage, inclusiveness and effectiveness of social care services, the provision of inclusive education and employment opportunities. The project therefore has a particular priority among all EU funding programmes.
The project initiatives will support and build the capacity of key institutions in the areas of social protection and social care services, inclusive education with a focus on pre-university education and vocational training, and improved employment opportunities, especially for vulnerable groups.
The project team will advise three public institutions: The Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, and the Ministry of Finance.
The Internationaler Bund (IB) wishes the expert team a good start and will provide technical support for implementation wherever possible!
