The IB is supporting the programme with capacity development and support for the establishment of model TVET centres in three regions.  Vocational guidance activities promote vocational training as a worthwhile alternative for Somali youth and contribute to the sustainable dissemination of new skills and experiences.

At the first preparatory shareholders' meeting the establishment of the IB International Education Consulting Co., Ltd. was finalised.

From the summer semester 2020 onwards, the IB University of Applied Sciences will be offering a Bachelor's programme in "Social Work - Integration Management" at the Berlin Study Centre.

In Germany, people who have less than 60 percent of the average household income at their disposal are considered poor. In Germany, this figure is currently around 16 percent or around 13 million people.

Since the beginning of 2019, all facilities of the IB have been supplied only with electricity from renewable energy sources.
