The award goes to the IB for the fourth time in a row / Five of five possible stars

Ayder Alternativ Yasam Dernegi and the Internationaler Bund (IB) signed a memorandum of understanding.

The day care centre "Atelier Eastend" is aimed at people with disabilities and/or mental illness who are interested in community and art.

The IB provides worldwide access to quality education in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America, among others.

"The voluntary services are important educational and orientation times for young people and a special form of civic commitment," says IB President Petra Merkel.

"Generational justice means global justice" is the title of an open letter that was sent to the Federal Chancellor, the Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development and the other members of the Federal Government on today's 30th anniversary of the signing of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

EU funds for development cooperation are shrinking and are reaching only a small proportion of those countries most in need of support.

For exactly 30 years, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child has guaranteed all girls and boys, among other things, the right to be taken seriously and to be involved. Yet children all over the world are still given too little consideration in decisions that affect them.

The IB is supporting the programme with capacity development and support for the establishment of model TVET centres in three regions.  Vocational guidance activities promote vocational training as a worthwhile alternative for Somali youth and contribute to the sustainable dissemination of new skills and experiences.
